Don't Blink.

Star Light, Star Bright
First Star I See Tonight

I Wish I May

I Wish I Might

Have This Wish I Wish Tonight...

I miss my baby girl... what happened?!
They say they grow so quickly, but this is just absurd.

We made the move for Bell into a big girl bed and I have to say the girl was flawless! We are so ridiculously lucky how well she adapts to change, here's hoping that carries over when her little brother joins the family in a few short weeks...

OB Oh My

For those of you who know me well, or have spent all of five minutes with me, know that patience is a virtue I simply don't have, which is why I absolutley dread going to my OB appointments for baby mama check ups. Without fail when I go I sit in the waiting room for at least 30 minutes before being taken to the back where I have to wait an additional 15-20 minutes after the nurse leaves with nothing to look at but the giant diagram poster of a vajayjay. Twice I've started walking out ready to go all Norma Rae on their office, and turned the corner into my doctor who makes me go back to the room head hunched and sulking to wait on her a little longer. When I'm finally graced with her presence she never apologizes for the wait, spends all of five minute with me and then I'm on my merry way with instructions to set up another appointment. I've gotten so annoyed a couple times I've canceled an appointment and just skipped it - ha, that'll show them! crap.

This last time though was nearly the final straw: after waiting over an hour she finally came in and I brought up the fact that I'm carrying a ginormous bobblehead baby and she looks at my measurements and says that she doesn't think he's that big (ummm my last ultrasound showed he's in the 67th percentile with an abnormally big head and expected to be bigger than Bella, who was 8 lbs 15 oz) but that I had in fact gained a little more weight than she'd like and suggested I lay off the sweets. If bobblebaby wasn't weighing me down I would have leapt across the room and tackled her labcoat ass! I understand that I measure normally, that just means I house very cramped babies - my body literally doesn't make enough room for them and I'm totally feeling it this pregnancy. he's. not. happy. UGH, I would find another OB, but I have less than five weeks to go so it doesn't really make sense.

AND I'm still trying to figure out how Justin and I end up with bigger babies - I like to think I did my homework, it's not like I'm carrying a football player's baby... I picked a cross country runner for goodness sake (love you J!)

Valentine's Day

Justin and I had a pretty chill Valentine's Day - it's hard to go out with Bella because we know she's 50/50 for a meltdown at the restraunt, and we figured it was a needless expense when we're trying to save right now so after a quick trip to the mall to exchange what we got each other (haha!) we opted for a quiet night in and he grilled steak and then I made chocolate fondue for dessert that we enjoyed while we watched a movie by firelight after Bell went to bed. It was perfect! I love how it literally doesn't really matter if it's a snooty restraunt or a dinner just the three of us, I feel so special and loved by my husband, he's phenomenal!

J got a perfect fire going for the night!
we laughed about what an absurd amount of food this was for two people,
until we ate all of it. every. last. bite.
sooo this looks admittedly questionable, but last minute I decided to add some marshmallows for taste, but apparently you need marshmallow paste or something so I just had litte floaters in my fondue. meh.

more cupcake fun

not so much showing off my sweet baking skills, but I had to share some of the cupcakes I made for my expletive-loving-fbomb-dropping Italian girlfriend's birthday:

she loved them, even though everyone agreed they may be more suited for my birthday with my infantile Turrets, but ruining cupcakes with the real word just didn't feel right... haha!

Lovely Liliana

my three-year old niece Liliana is one of the funniest people I know... she's easily the funniest kid I know, but I can't promise she'll keep that crown once Bella starts talking, I can only imagine ((sorry Andrea, you can have volleyball and sports and superstardom, but I have the humor! or will at least continue telling myself that...)) My favorite last year was when she thanked Andrea for "finally changing my frickin' diaper" and now this:

Andrea was at Starbucks with Lil and asked what kind of milk she wanted - "Mommy, I would like some chocolate milk because brown is my favorite color because I'm ALL brown!"

HA, lesson learned! I can only imagine what kind of albino cow will make the milk that will be Bella's favorite. Oh Little Liliana, you make me laugh!
