and the winner is...

One of my coworkers has no faith and made a bet with me that the Rockies would be out in the first series of the playoffs. foolish. The deal was that if the world ends and somehow the Rockies lost, he got to make a collage of all the headlines of them losing and the Phillys winning and it had to stay as my desktop wallpaper for a month. If (more accurately when) the Rockies won I got to decorate his desk as Rox fan central and he'd have to keep it up throughout playoffs. Obviously we swept them, and are on our way toward winning the division championship--best part is there's a chance that we'll play the Indians in the World Series, and according to the bet, all things purple have to remain up!

at some point I really do plan to carrying on life as usual without being completely consumed by a sports team... at least until November when Cavs season starts. If it weren't so exciting, it would be exhausting.
